The lady above is only one of the many glamourous people who figured into Pantheon, the new album by the Toronto queercore band Kids on TV, and my jaunt with them through the same mythology (also featured: Liberace, the X-men’s Dazzler, Katie Stelmanis, Robert Rauschenberg, Wilhelm Reich, John Rechy, Vanessa Paradis and Diamond Rings). It pained me to omit this anecdote from Scott, their drummer: in 1986 his long-dead group Violence and the Sacred opened for Karen Finley, and he had the SCUM Manifesto read out by a speech synthesizer. 1-800-BST-LIFE
